We have news to share!
Eco Partners President Elizabeth Roe is the newly elected president of the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) Board of Directors.
“Like many of our members, I originally came to SWANA for education and training related to solid waste and resource management. I discovered a community of peers who were dedicated to making this industry safer, better, and more sustainable,” Elizabeth said. “Over the course of my career, I’ve seen many changes — especially in the materials that we are asked to handle — but what hasn’t changed is the commitment of SWANA members to protect human health and the environment, making their communities great places to live, work, learn, and play.”
In addition to Elizabeth’s work at the national level with prior leadership roles on the SWANA Board of Directors, she also served as past chair of the SWANA Advisory Board and held leadership positions within SWANA’s Technical Divisions. She is a long-time member of the Indiana Hoosier Chapter of SWANA and is involved with the Arizona Chapter of SWANA, where she now lives.
We are also excited about this year’s new SWANA conference, RCon, taking place from November 12 to 15 in Columbus, OH. This new and reimagined event focuses on waste as a resource. Hope to see you there!
