Upcycled roses!

When does a rose have no thorns?  When it is made of bottle caps, of course!

The lovely “roses” pictured were shared at an Indiana Recycling Coalition conference in Indianapolis. The creator, Nathan Rules, has been collecting bottle caps since 1997. In 1994, he re-created Vincent van Gogh’s painting “Starry Night” with bottle caps. That creation led to more artistic uses for bottle caps which evolved into “Kaps for Kids.”

Kaps for Kids LLC was founded in 2014. Its mission is to “benefit kids by creating the world’s best bottle cap products.”  The company hopes to help “up-cycling” evolve from a neat novelty to a commercial endeavor by creating products that consumers will want.
