Cleaning Out Your Closets?

Something about spring seems to motivate us to jump into deep-cleaning projects around the house.

If you have been sorting through your closets, be sure to donate gently used clothing , bedding, towels, and shoes, as well as other usable household items to a local Goodwill Store, The Salvation Army, AMVETS, or other charitable organization in your community. Some will even pick up bags at your front door! Search online for the ones near you and a list of items they each accept.

You might also have some unwanted furniture, fixtures, appliances, or surplus building supplies. You can donate these to one of the charities above or a Habitat for Humanity ReStore. Or if anything you find is not suitable to donate, contact your local solid waste management authority for proper disposal options.
